Context
A wastewater treatment plant near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, delivered by a Turkish contractor. Correspondence, approvals and payments ran in English and followed local contract practice.
My role
As the contractor’s technical office manager I was responsible for everything the technical office produced.
What I did
- Prepared interim payment applications
- Built up new unit rates
- Comparative take-offs: contract quantities against revised design quantities
- Tracked design revisions and reflected them in payments
- Managed material submittals and approvals
- Material procurement
